  • Mendapatkan gelar Sarjana Pertanian jurusan Budidaya Pertanian pada tahun 1989 dari Universitas Negeri Sebelas Maret Surakarta (UNS). Pendidikan Pascasarjana (S2) jurusan Ilmu Tanaman, Program Studi Pemuliaan Tanaman ditempuh di Universitas Padjadjaran Bandung, selesai tahun 2002 dengan gelar Magister Pertanian (MP) dan saat ini tengah menjalani studi S3 (Doktoral) di Institut Pertanian Bogor.Yang bersangkutan sekarang menjadi peneliti di Kebun Percobaan Tanaman Hias Pasarminggu, Balai Penelitian Tanaman Hias.Jenjang fungsional sekarang adalah Peneliti Muda dengan ketertarikan dalam bidang penelitian pemuliaan tanaman. Publikasi karya ilmiah dan hasil penelitian sebagai penulis tunggal, utama dan coauthor, telah diterbikan dalam Jurnal Ilmiah, Bulletin, Monograf dan Prosiding Seminar.
